Vista DUI attorney Joshua Price represents clients accused of felony and misdemeanor DUI charges
When you face your first DUI charge, a lot of things may be running through your head. You might feel worried about how a DUI might look to your family, your coworkers, your superiors, or what it might mean for your future.
Well, you are right to be worried. Because you have a very important decision to make: choosing an attorney. For most, it comes down to a choice between a public defender, the free option but not always the best one. Or you could hire a professional defense attorney.
DUI Defense is complex. Not all Vista attorneys understand how to defend a DUI case in court. In fact, not all criminal defense attorneys know how to defend a DUI case. I know because many of them have attended my seminars on Drunk Driving Defense.
In general, you will get a more favorable result if you hire a skilled and experienced attorney. You don't want to make the mistake of hiring someone who is no match for the prosecutor. Second, don't make the mistake of choosing an attorney who doesn't have the right background or experience — even if you're best friend recommended them.
Remember that without competent and aggressive legal representation, you risk having a conviction on your record. You might lose your driving privileges. Your insurance will skyrocket or get cancelled. You might even have difficulty refinancing your house or getting an apartment.
The first and best decision you can make is to hire the right DUI attorney who understands how the ins and outs of the North County Regional Center where Vista DUI cases are heard. It only makes sense to turn to an experienced DUI attorney like Joshua Price who has both the experience and knowledge to defend you — even if this is not your first DUI charge.
Choosing the Right DUI Lawyer
Not all attorneys are qualified and experienced to handle DUI cases. In fact, in many situations, lawyers who take on DUI cases do not possess the skills and legal knowledge to effectively represent their clients. Over the past 25 years, Joshua Price has dedicated his legal career to working on DUI cases. He is frequently asked to speak at seminars throughout California and is a attorney member of the California DUI Lawyers Association.

"Summer of 2020, months after the world shut down due to Covid-19, I experienced my first DUI. I am still humbled by the day, and my poor choice to get into my car and think that I was okay to drive. I will begin by saying that I am so grateful that I did not get hurt, or hurt someone else. I did not need to research a DUI attorney. I called a friend who I knew had gone through a very stressful, extreme case with his DUI. He turned to Josh Price, based off a referral from someone else, years earlier that we both know as well. I had remembered a few years back, how my friend spoke so highly of "his attorney." His case worked out amazing, and so I didn't even second guess my choice to reach out and get Josh Price's information. For a first time offense, I had a few factors with my case that were very stressful. My BAC was a .30, after the blood work came back. I had zero food on board that day, had only two cups of strong coffee and drank hard alcohol, which I never do. I struck a parked car, that thank God, nobody was even so much as sitting in. It was a residential area, and I panicked. I got turned around and realized I needed to stop and get parked. I was pulled over, and the rest was surreal. I reached out to Josh Price the next day, sad and embarrassed to try and remember the details, which I felt like I was in total shock doing so. Josh took my case on and from here, I will address my experience with how me and my case were both treated. From the beginning of my experience, I was not only treated so respectfully, and the professionalism was incredible. Both Josh, and Amanda, his paralegal, should get "tips" for their kind listening skills and almost therapist type virtues. They never once made me feel judged, which was so appreciated."
